History at a glance

Lalbagh Model School and College is situated in the historical Lalbagh area connected with the reminiscence of Shahestha Khan, and Shah Suja. The Misnistry of Education of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has established eleven Model School and Colleges including five in Dhaka Mahanagori. The institutions cost Tk. 114 crore by its own financing from the government, and Lalbagh Model School and College is one of them. With its all modern facilities, the institution has earned fame within a short time from 2007 when it started functioning. The institution has been considered the best educational institution in Lalbagh area in 2013 with 100% pass in the S.S.C Exam. It is also active in Scout, Girls’ guide, Dance, Music and other co-curricular activities. In National inter-school sports competition-2013 the institution became the unbeaten champion in Table Tennis, and also recognized as the best educational institution in sports. The teachers, officials have been trying their best to sustain 100% pass in public Exams, paying special attention to the weak and less privileged students. With the presidency of the honorable Secretary of Ministry of Education, and active supervision of the principal, with the co-operation of the experienced teachers the institution will reach its expected destination, is hoped by all.

3. Aims and objectives : To meet up the existing Admission problem and develop quality in Education.
4. Implementation organization : The project for establishing 11 model schools (Non-government) in six divisions including Dhaka mahanagori, DSHE, Education Bhaban, Dhaka. The project expired on 30 June, 2008.
5. Financing : The People’s Republic of Bangladesh Ministry of Education, Dhaka.
6. Source of income :
(a) Tk 50,00,000.00 (once) from the project.
(b) Tuition fees from the students.
7. Proposed Manpower : Secondary and Higher Secondary 140+ Primary Section 44 = 184
8. Present Manpower : Secondary and Higher Secondary 48+ Primary Section 23 = 71
